We want beauty to feel alive.

There’s a different relationship with flowers when you grow them yourself.

You notice how they move, when they open, how they catch the light, and how color changes as a flower develops. You start to understand what gives each one its character.

And because we’re the ones cultivating them from the beginning, that understanding becomes part of the work. We’re not trying to make flowers feel perfect or still. We want them to feel alive.

Flowers already carry color, movement, and life; design is the act of deciding what to do with it.

Hey there, my name’s Deanna and I’m a first generation farmer growing cut flowers and a floral designer.

I didn’t grow up in agriculture and, to be completely honest, farming wasn’t something I always dreamed of doing. It is something that I was lucky enough to come to in my late twenties that gave me the ability to work outside and keep myself moving.

During my first growing season, I learned a lot. I mean, I’m still learning a lot, but I really learned to love the work, even when nature and the weather made things hard. And I started to see things differently in the field.

I could see when my soil was well taken care of by how well the flowers bloomed. I started to see how colors in nature never really clashed. And in the morning and evenings I saw how the sunlight would move through the petals and leaves.

I started seeing a lot of the same things I saw as a kid. I was lucky enough to grow up on Priest Lake and I spent almost all of my time outside. I’d see the morning sun glitter on the lake. I’d pick wildflowers out of the ditch. And I remember digging up clay, making face masks, and building towers and poking rocks and sticks in them.

Experiencing nature, and getting to see these flowers grow through most of their life cycle is an incredible gift.

Earlier in my career, I thought designing florals that were inspired by nature was truly something special. But over the years, I see that it’s the people who bring them life. They are a medium for creating art, and they’re meant to bring color and movement to our lives.

It's Never Just Flowers.

I love you. I’m thinking of you. Congratulations. I’m sorry. Thank you. Goodbye. I miss you. I’m proud of you. Welcome home. Happy Birthday. I’m grateful for you. I’m here. This matters. You are not forgotten.
